Have you ever wondered what it is really like for a general aviation pilot to land at a Class B airport alongside airliners and heavy jets?

In my latest video, I take that curiosity one step further by chasing a personal aviation goal: landing at every Class B airport in the United States.

This episode takes us into Memphis International Airport, a busy Class B field dominated not only by passenger traffic, but by nonstop FedEx operations. From picking up ATIS, to getting that all-important Bravo clearance, to flying a fast VFR arrival straight into a massive 11,000-foot runway, this flight is a real-world look at how GA and airline traffic safely coexist.

What makes this landing especially interesting?

  • Entering Class B airspace VFR, not IFR
  • Being cleared into the Bravo almost immediately on first contact
  • Flying a straight-in approach to Runway 36C with a tailwind
  • Using advanced avionics for situational awareness even in VMC
  • Taxiing past rows of FedEx heavies on one of the world’s busiest cargo ramps

I also share my custom Google My Map that tracks which Class B airports I’ve already landed at, which ones are still ahead, and which are off-limits to civilian Part 91 operations. Spoiler alert: I’ve got a long way to go.

If you’ve ever felt intimidated by Class B airspace, curious about how controllers handle GA traffic at major hubs, or just enjoy watching real-world flying decisions unfold in real time, this video is for you.
